STEPS Youth Dance Company is looking for an enthusiastic Marketing and Funds Development Coordinator to complement our small and dedicated team.
The Marketing and Funds Development Coordinator is a part-time position that has three specific areas of responsibility: marketing and publicity, funds development and servicing sponsorship agreements.

2009 POWDERMONKEYS are…

Jordan Battye, Rhys Bernhardt, Rhiannon Blair, Grace Bowdidge, Hamish Briggs, Hannah Briggs, Nicholas Crawford, Laura Goodlet, Elijah Hoyne, Olivia Hoyne, Zac Hoyne, Erin Kearns, Cindy-Lee Maree, Emily Martin, Reihanna Orlandi, Abby Richards, Ben Smith, Kayla Soper, Lachlan Stokes, Stacey van Oyen, Romy Wynands and Kayla Yates.
The 22 dancers participating in this project were selected from more than 60 who attended the auditions held on Saturday 25 July 2009. This is the first STEPS project for them all. They represent 9 different government and non-government schools from throughout the Kalgoorlie-Boulder region including, O’Connor Primary School, Boulder Primary School, Hannans Primary School, John Paul College, North Kalgoorlie Primary School, South Kalgoorlie Primary School, St Mary’s Primary School, St Joseph’s Primary School and Kalgoorlie Primary School.

2010 Season Auditions (18-35) - Pre-registration
Auditions are open to anyone between 18* and 35 and kick off in September 2009
*if you are 18 by 1 Feb 2010 then you are eligible to audition
Pre-registration is essential to secure your place at our auditions - you will be guaranteed a specific time to audition, but only if you pre-register.

This year’s auditions have changed. We are spending more days in each capital city with allocated morning and afternoon sessions. No more cattle call, no more cues!
Of course there are no guarantees of success but with more time to audition there’ll be more time spent with each dancer. We want to see you dance, we want to get to know you, we want to know what makes you tick and why you should be in the Top 20.
AUDITION PROCESS
1. All dancers MUST pre-register to secure their audition day and morning or afternoon session time.
2. Pre-registration is at www.ten.com.au/dance
3. Approximately one week prior to their audition each dancer will be contacted by us via email with their allotted day, and morning or afternoon session time.
4. Each dancer must come with their audition form filled out (downloaded from ten website after they have registered).
5. They must have their audition prepared with at least two song choices, more song choices if they can. Music will have to be cleared for broadcast.
6. All dancers must be prepared to be available for the possibility of a callback that will be on a separate day to their original audition.

POWDERMONKEY Reporting
08.09.09POWDERMONKEY workshops in Kalgoorlie-Boulder
Alice & Sofie arrived in Kalgoorlie-Boulder on Monday 20 July and hit the ground running! Throughout the week 750 students took part in 29 POWDERMONKEY workshops at 9 schools/dance studios and more than 60 young people auditioned for the October residency and performance.
Responses to the workshops and audition was overwhelmingly positive and STEPS is delighted with the number of people that took part and the level of enthusiasm and support shown by the teachers, students, parents and media.
