Fiona then indulged her ‘passion for fashion’ as a Visual Merchandiser for Debenhams in Edinburgh & London.

A brief internship assisting the Communications Manager at The New Producers Alliance in London, lead to a Producer Training course, volunteer work at the Cannes Film Festival and Continuity work on the short film ‘Masquerade’ in London.
Fiona also worked at the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs as a Personal Assistant, to the Head of News and the Press Secretary, to the Secretary of State, Rt Hon. Margaret Beckett, before embarking on a 10 week journey home through Europe and Malaysia.
Arriving home with a desire to consolidate her skills and interests, Fiona has embarked into the world of freelancing, focussing on communications and events for the arts and film. Since establishing herself in April 2006, Fiona has been contracted as the Publicist for Ace Cinemas ‘live digital recording’ of SHOUT -The Legend of the Wild One and The Blue Room’s production of Fragmented; completed a short term contract with the City of Joondalup preparing sponsorship proposal templates for their 2007 Festival and worked as an Administrator for Tura and Propelarts.

Fiona won ‘Best Publicity for 2008′ for the Blue Room production ‘Fragmented‘ and is currently enjoying her third year as the Marketing and Funds Development Manager for STEPS Youth Dance Company.
Fiona is also the proud owner of an enchanting two year old son named Preston and has recently been appointed as a Civil Marriage Celebrant by the Attorney General’s Department.
